When 2nd Battalion 1st Marines deployed to Iraq in 2003 and 2004 the 1,000 Marines and Corpsmen that fought together against Saddam loyalists and Al Qaeda fighters took part in significant chapters of Marine Corps and world history. This journal is a medium for those stories to be collected and told.
